Hemp seeds and almond butter give this Chocolate Cherry & Almond Vegan Protein Smoothie a protein power punch. So much healthy goodness in one smoothie.

Hemp seeds offer a nutty flavour and contain both omega 3s and omega 6s, are high in fiber and contain over 5 grams of protein per tablespoon, while the almond butter adds potassium, calcium and magnesium in addition to fiber and protein.

Cherries are quickly becoming my favourite addition to every smoothie.  The benefits of cherries come from their high levels of antioxidants that fight free radical damage and protect cells as well as they aid in digestion, lower cholesterol, controls blood sugar and can help with weight loss.  Recent research indicates that cherries help remove excess body fat and increase melatonin, supporting a healthy sleep cycle.

This vegan protein smoothie uses Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk, but chocolate or rice, soy, hemp milk can also be substituted. Chocolate Cherry & Almond Vegan Protein Smoothie


  • 1 Cup
    Unsweetened Almond Milk - Vanilla
  • 1 Scoop
    Boomer Nutrition Organic Vegan Protein Powder - Chocolate
  • 1/2 Cup
    Cherries - fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 Cup
    Strawberries - fresh or frozen
  • 1/2
    Banana - fresh or fozen
  • 2 Tablespoons
    Hemp Seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons
    Almond Butter


  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or bullet and blend until smooth. Enjoy immediately.
