You would think a kale protein smoothie would taste like kale, but not this one. Not only do you get the health benefits from vitamins and fibre in the apple and mango, but they do a great job of making this protein smoothie super refreshing. If it wasn’t for the green colour, you wouldn’t know there was even kale in this Green Kale Refresher Protein Smoothie.

Using Boomer Nutrition ENERGY Vanilla Protein Powder and vanilla flavoured greek yogurt as well as vanilla almond or rice milk is another great way to add flavour to this protein smoothie so you taste more than just kale.

Hemp seeds are a great addition to any protein smoothie as they contain all of the essential amino acids, which makes it a complete source of protein just like chicken, fish or beef. Adding just 1tbsp of hemp seeds to your protein smoothie adds over 3 grams of high-quality protein.

Green Kale Protein Smoothie


Ingredients

  • 1 Cup
    milk (or non dairy almond, rice, soy or coconut)
  • 1 Scoop
    Boomer Nutrition ENERGY Whey Protein Powder - Vanilla
  • 1/3 Cup
    greek yogurt - plain, vanilla or honey (omit for non-dairy)
  • 1/2 Cup
    chopped kale
  • 1/2
    apple
  • 1/2 Cup
    Mango - fresh or frozen
  • 1-2 Tablespoon
    hemp seeds
  • squeeze
    lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or bullet and blend until smooth. Enjoy immediately.

    Store any extras in ice cube trays in the freezer to be added to your next Green Kale Refresher Protein Smoothie.
