This healthy salted caramel protein smoothie is made with our original Boomer Nutrition ENERGY Chocolate Protein Powder . For a vegan version,  it also tastes great using our NEW Organic Vegan Boomer Nutrition Chocolate Protein Powder .

The banana in this smoothie adds a dose of potassium and a the fruit you need to start your day.  For a more chocolatey version, add 1 tsp of cocoa powder.  Cocoa powder not only tastes great when but, it is also rich in polyphenols, can reduce high blood pressure, lower heart attack risks, and put you in a better mood for the rest of the day.

This Chocolate Cinnamon Protein Smoothie adds a tsp of cinnamon to a plain Chocolate Protein Smoothie for a dash of added health benefits!

Cinnamon is made from the inner bark of trees called Cinnamomum and comes in two varieties – ceylon cinnamon, and the more common cassia cinnamon.  Cinnamon is made by cutting the stems of the cinnamomum tree, extracting the inner bark and removing wood parts. When it dries, it forms strips that curl into rolls (cinnamon sticks) and that can be ground to form cinnamon powder.
